I chewed my bottom lip nervously as I waited for the doctor. There was no way my parents would approve of me doing this but I was in college now, they couldn’t stop me. I wanted it.

A gorgeous looking middle aged woman stepped out from the adjoining hall wearing a white doctor’s coat over a tight, lilac colored dress that was probably a little inappropriate for a woman her age, or in her profession.

The woman chuckled at my over-enthusiasm as I leapt off the chair and practically skipped over to her. “Please, Miss Dyer, this way,” she said before leading me down the hall.

“Please, call me Lyss. Everyone does,” I corrected her as I followed.

“Very well, Lyss it is. My name is Doctor Reid,” she said before opening the door to her examination room, gesturing to a chair beside a desk.

I sat down and admired the mature woman as she closed the door and took her own seat on the office chair in front of the desk. “Well, um. I know you’re a GP, but I was hoping to get a referral. I don’t know where to go, and I can’t ask my parents for help because they wouldn’t approve.”

“Wouldn’t approve of what?”

“Well, you see, I’ve always been self-conscious about my breasts. I’ve wanted implants for years but my parents would never let me. Now I’m eighteen and in college, and I’m ready. I just didn’t know where to start, I’ve never even made a doctor’s appointment for myself.”

The pretty doctor smiled, her gray-blue eyes focused on me through her thick-rimmed, black glasses. “You came to exactly the right place, Lyss. I may not be a plastic surgeon, but I think I can help you get started on the process.”

I jostled in my chair in glee. “Oh, really!?” I beamed back at her.

“Of course. Your GP is always a good place to start for anything related to your health. A plastic surgeon would just try and sell you on the most expensive thing to take you for as much money as possible.
